Oo-wa-oo-wa cool cool kitty…

talkin’ ‘bout the boy from New York City.

Sorry about the hiatus. Nothing is wrong, we’re still here. Though, Light Fantastik has started getting hate mail. Sure, it started out innocent, “Can’t wait to see more pictures of Jack!” and “Hope everything is going okay, please post!” However, its turned into, “if I come to this page one more time and see that same old picture, I’ll be forced to move into the apartment across the hall from you. And I’ll have binoculars. Extra strong ones.” You know who you are.

It’s almost been two months since an update, and Jack is on the eve of being 10 months old. I don’t even know where to begin. He is standing (not on his own yet, but soon), climbing, crawling up stairs (thanks for that one Grandma T), walking beind push toys. He says “mamamamamama” and “dadadadadada.” We have a living room full of colorful, musical, age-appropriate toys for him, but he prefers the electrical sockets and fixtures under the bathroom sink. Believe you me, if there’s chipped paint on the windowsill that looks like it might potentially be ripe for lead paint poisoning, he’s there. He’s living up to his middle name. We’re proud. Very proud.

He is a really happy little boy. And we are pretty darn happy because of that fact. The world is brimming with new things through Jack’s eyes. The spice rack, for example, is a plethora of music shakers. And helium balloons--do you know that when you pull on the string of a balloon really fast, the balloon BOPS UP AND DOWN? Just for you? How marvelous! Things like playground swings and the sandbox and the slide are, once again, the highlight of my weekends.

I’m glad that it’s still just beginning.
